Mishmash to catch you up :) Enjoy

Here is a few collages of our work this past month. Enjoy!

Grad time!

Not many of you know this but I am a youth leader at our Church. I am happy to say one of my favourite Sara's has graduated!
Her best bud asked me to make her a corsage and Sara ordered a boutonniere for him as well.
I chose a dark eggplant calla and white Chincher florets accented with black and silver for Sara's wrist corsage. For Spencer's boutonniere  created with the same calla and a bloom of white chincher arabicum just for a punch of brightness.

Check them out, I love it!

Toooo cute! I'll have to show you next time Sara :)

Quiet time :)

It is quiet here today, it is soo nice!
I am all caught up on my quotes and I am very happy to say we will be working with Allison & Groom  as well as  Brooke & Groom for their February weddings, Suzanne & Groom in March , Jenn & Rob in April and Wendy & Groom in June of 2011.
Our August, September & October are filling up so we will have a lot more posts and pictures to share with you. Some how my husband has gotten the hint that I need a new camera :) YAY! so we are looking for one .. got any tips? do you have a favourite point and shoot. I do need something that can handle low light.. that is a tough sticking point.

We have been all over the place this month. Ancaster Old Mill, Winona Vine Estates, Burlington G & C., Hamilton Golf Club, RBG, Vineifra Grimsby, Scottish Rite, Ohh and a bunch of others I can't recall as I type this.
We have some beautiful Photos of Tiffany's wedding. They were taken by the very talented  Click Photography  I can't believe how gorgeous Tiffany looked! She is super sexy with an awesome smile to begin with but in that dress with those long golden locks and pouty lips, wow her hubby's heart must have skipped a beat when he saw his blonde goddess !
We will show you a few and you can go to Click's Blog to see more.
Thanks for looking !

Retirement- going out in style

No, not my retirement :) I am only 34 so that is a longggg way away. It was great to have a gig mid week. Today we spent the afternoon setting up tables, linen, and flowers for a retirement party. We worked with entirely local product which is amazing! I love working with local growers, it just feels great!
The was a garden inspired event- super feminine with beautifully eclectic vessels. We adorned each table with a different shaped vases, some milk glass, some clear, crystal, compote and even silver!.  It is a growing trend to mix things up a bit so that your guest can be surprised at every table as they flutter around socializing. It really catches peoples attention and feels very rich and unique. If you think it may look unkempt we find uniformity in the flowers, in this case all peony and garden roses of white, pale pink and darker pink contrasted by wispy lush greens. We used lounge type seating areas with low coffee tables, on each was a trio of vases filled with garden roses. For our traditional round tables low and medium sized arrangements of peony and greens tied the look together. Our last image is of the Memory table, our design is a large vase styled with an inner arrangement of peony which extends out of the vase in a leaning fashion. For balance and to enlarge the table centre into a tablescape we added our vintage silver bud vases topped with a single bloom of peony. It is soooo pretty and my crumby pictures do not do theses justice! .. Did I mention I need a better camera?? Someone tell my hubby :)
